First, we searched on Instagram and Google for London photographers and we made a list of websites of:

- London vacation photographers
We have found 94 photographers.
Then we searched for photography packages on these websites for portrait session, couples session and photo sessions with travelers (or Holiday sessions).
Specifically, for the photographers that didn’t had their packages online, we sent an inquiry.
This way, we collected all the prices and compiled the pricing into an hourly rate.

Photography Services in London
First thing to remember, photographers in London provide different type of services. There are: event photography, portrait photography, commercial photography, headshots, real estate photography, vacation or travel photography and so on.
Even though it was tempting to take all photography types into consideration, we decided for our study, to look only at portrait, engagement, couple and family sessions, plus vacation photography services.
London Photographers by Status
In 2024, the landscape of London photography is quite diverse, not only when it comes to the variety of the services and packages offered, but also when it comes to the status of the photographer. Indeed, we have found and grouped London photographers into 3 categories:
- Independent photographers
- Photography teams, such as The Now Time, Flytographer, Locallens, Perfocal, etc
- Airbnb photographers
In our study, we have considered 44 independent London photographers, 6 photography platforms and 50 airbnb photographers.

Straightaway, our study allowed us to notice that the average London photographer prices are 226£ for one hour of photography.
The minimum hourly rate for such services is 80£ on average.
While the maximum hourly rate for London photographers is 432£ on average.
Independent Local London Photographer Prices
Surprisingly, independent London photographers have slightly higher prices than the other categories.
Indeed, the study shows that the average independent London photographer prices are £294 for one hour of photography.
Furthermore, the minimum hourly rate for independent photographers in London is £99.
Correspondingly, the maximum hourly rate for such London photographers is £599.
Photography Platform Prices
One quick note for these platforms is that their pricing is usually universal. In the sense that they don’t have pricing per city. The exception is The Now Time, where the prices of the photographers differ based on the level of experience and style.
As a matter of fact, the average price for London photography platforms is £238 per hour.
Afterward, the minimum cost for 1 hour of photography with London photographer platforms is £109.
As the maximum price for 1 hour of photography with these platforms is around £308.
Airbnb Photographers Prices in London

- There are photographers, especially in the independent group, that offer lower prices during weekdays and higher prices during weekends. Something to consider, if you are traveling to London and want to get pictures, you can have more interesting rates during weekdays.
- At the present time, some photographers don’t have 1 hour packages, their photography packages start at 1.5 hours or even 2 hours.
- Some photographers charge per person or even per group and you can have a maximum number of people joining the group. This can work for families or couples traveling together and wanting to share a photoshoot in London.
